Kidzoona Melaka (Indoor Playground) review! | Why it's a superb playground for young kids!

Image
The Kidzoona playground can be found on level 2 of Mahkota Parade which is just beside Hatten Hotel. Absolute visit for us and the little one has been there already like 10 times or something? haha. It’s also unlimited entry for a day whohoo =) THE BEST part of this indoor playground is that it’s located in a mall! I'd go shopping while hubby plays with him there. The moment we reach the entrance, mummy will go off on a bout of shopping herself, usually at Mr DIY (sadly, this has closed the last time we went. but there’s always the one opposite at Dahlaran Palawan). The other reason why we frequent it is that this indoor playground  will be virtually empty in the mornings at 10am. BTW, this kidzoona outlet closes at 10pm. And I like that it is quite clean and well maintained. It also has enough segments to entertain your kids from babies to young pri sch age kids. Slides for babies Toys for 1year olds Ball pits for toddlers    There are

2 little known restaurants in Melaka to try! | Pampas Sky Dining Steakhouse and Restaurants Hakka Zhan

Image
Today we'd be sharing 2 restaurants that are seldom mentioned but worth a try! 1)Pampas Sky Dining Steakhouse - For a more high class dining experience! Having eaten so much local stuff over the last few visits, we decided to have a different experience. This restaurant sits atop of Swiss Garden Residences and provides awesome views in the evening. As expected, there were a lot of dating couples and if you are thinking of a date, you should try this place. Prices are actually reasonable (like about RM50-70). Conclusion Food rating: 4/5 Family friendliness: 3/5 (Atas but not suitable for infants or toddlers because of ambience) Value for money: 4/5 We had a great meal but it was quite embarrassing that the little one was misbehaving during mealtime then haha. 2) Restoran Hakka Zhan Review - For Cheap And Authentic Hakka Food! Restoran Hakka Zhan is situated near Jonker and right beside Pak Putra Restaurant (another of our top recommendations

Visit Manjaku baby mall Melaka | Great Pigeon discounts!

Image
This mall came recommended by a friend of mine and outside of Melaka city centre. About a 15min drive out? The Manjaku baby mall is very near Melaka TESCO if you know where it is. Things there are cheap and being a specialised mall, you can find items for your kids of ALL ages. Toys, diapers, nursing stuff, milk etc... you name it. Level 1 A very spacious layout. International brands like Medela, Munchkin and Philips Avent can be found here. But I think you should still buy breast pumps from baby fairs in Singapore. It's the other things like   teether, bottle brush, feeding tools etc that I usually buy here. Brands like Pigeon (check details below) and Pureen are also here. Diapers and milk of all brands can be found on this level. Also has a whole series of local clothes from brands like Fiffy and Fabulous Mom which are priced cheaper. Level 2 This level has strollers, play-pen, toys etc. We bought a inflatable rubber float for less than SG$10 haha

Rosa Hotel Melaka: A Toddler friendly hotel in Melaka with insta-worthy looks!

Image
We wanted somewhere quiet since most of the larger hotels in the touristy district around Mahkota Parade mall and Dataran Pahlawan mall tend to be really busy in the school holidays and on weekends. We chanced across Rosa Hotel and were blown away by the photographs. It is a new hotel having just opened end 2016. Location and Transport It is relatively near the major malls listed above and located in Melaka Raya district. It’s where there are plenty of good eateries and nyonya restaurants. It may be quite a long walk to the malls if you are tugging a reluctant toddler around with you. But if you drive, parking is ample, just right at the entrance to the hotel. The security guard on duty is always friendly and helpful too. Being a new and hipster hotel, they also embrace technology, having Uber promo codes for hotel guests and many Ofo bikes available! Decor What really impressed me about Rosa Hotel was the hipster vibe the hotel got going for it. And all the

3 Popular Food Recommendations In Jonker Street Melaka Like The Daily Fix! | Bonus Tip on Jonker 88!

Image
Today we'd be sharing 3 popular food recommendations in Jonker Street Melaka 1) The Daily Fix Ask any Singaporean who’s been to Melaka and they will talk abt this hipster cafe in the middle of jonker. Good coffee, amazing pandan waffles with gula Melaka sauce and definitely insta-worthy ambience. Unfortunately we went on a weekend and the queue was an hour long.  But we could leave your name on the waiting list and continue your shopping along jonker. This place is crowded. You've to take a queue number and go walk around first. This Daily Fix cafe is very chill and understandable why so many youngsters love to take pictures here. Older folks may not appreciate it so much though. Look at the delicious Local Pandan Pancake which is their specialty! Stuffed with gula Melaka! Would recommend to share it though, very sweet! I've also taken a quick snapshot of the pancake menu here for you. They do serve some main courses too by the w

Wanna Go Kite Flying? | Outdoor fun in Melaka today!

Image
Flying Space is a great family activity. It   should be a clear, open area. Stay away from roads, and trees. Hence, this post is to highlight 2 places we fly kites commonly. The more room you have, the more line you can let out. #1 Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall We tried kite flying at the big grass patch here on L2. It's right beside Hatten hotel. The best part is after the kite-flying, can go down for dinner. #2 By the sea side behind Swan Garden Hotel Melaka We were driving by Swan Garden hotel and saw huge commercial kites flown near the sea side. Address : 1, Jln KSB 1, Taman Kota Syahbandar, 75200 Melaka, Malaysia  That got us into this hobby. Winds here are much better! Where to buy kites? Look for Soon Lee Seng Trading Company. Address : No. 53, 55, 57 & 59, Jalan TKL 1/2,, Taman Kota Laksamana,, 75200 Melaka, Malaysia  It's situated at Jalan Kota Laksamana and very near  Pak Putra restaurant. There are all shapes of kites

Best Taiwanese Noodle in Melaka? Hing Loong Taiwanese Noodles 兴隆台湾麵馆, little known noodle heaven!

Image
This has always been on our must try list but we didn’t manage to dine there due to the crazy crowds and difficult parking. Finally, one day we decided for me to hop off the car to da bao the beef noodles. While waiting for my order, I was tempted by waves and waves of delicious aroma from the hundreds of deep fried pork chop being freshly cooked in front of me. And it’s only RM4!!  Of course I succumbed to temptation! It’s really delicious too! When Hubby found out the price, he lamented, ” What?! Why didn’t you buy 10?!” The dry beef noodles too, even though we only managed to eat it after 1hr was still good. The herbs and spices reminds me of the beef noodles that we had in Taiwan. Not the beef ball noodle with the thick gravy kind that we get locally. Since then, we’ve made it a point to try to dine here every trip. Eaten fresh on the spot, the beef noodles were even more delicious. We’ve also tried the pork and chicken Zhajiang  noodles but they were not as go
