Flying Space is a great family activity. It should be a clear, open area.

Stay away from roads, and trees. Hence, this post is to highlight 2 places we fly kites commonly.

The more room you have, the more line you can let out.

#1 Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall

We tried kite flying at the big grass patch here on L2.

It's right beside Hatten hotel.

The best part is after the kite-flying, can go down for dinner.

#2 By the sea side behind Swan Garden Hotel Melaka

We were driving by Swan Garden hotel and saw huge commercial kites flown near the sea side.

Address: 1, Jln KSB 1, Taman Kota Syahbandar, 75200 Melaka, Malaysia 

That got us into this hobby.

Winds here are much better!

It's situated at Jalan Kota Laksamana and very near Pak Putra restaurant.

There are all shapes of kites and they come as cheap as RM9. Strings are sold separately at <RM5.

If you are inexperienced, get the stall person to tie for you and also spend a little more to buy a kite-roller to control the strings better.
