Rosa Hotel Melaka: A Toddler friendly hotel in Melaka with insta-worthy looks!

We wanted somewhere quiet since most of the larger hotels in the touristy district around Mahkota Parade mall and Dataran Pahlawan mall tend to be really busy in the school holidays and on weekends.

We chanced across Rosa Hotel and were blown away by the photographs. It is a new hotel having just opened end 2016.

Location and Transport

It is relatively near the major malls listed above and located in Melaka Raya district. It’s where there are plenty of good eateries and nyonya restaurants. It may be quite a long walk to the malls if you are tugging a reluctant toddler around with you.

But if you drive, parking is ample, just right at the entrance to the hotel. The security guard on duty is always friendly and helpful too.

Being a new and hipster hotel, they also embrace technology, having Uber promo codes for hotel guests and many Ofo bikes available!

Decor

What really impressed me about Rosa Hotel was the hipster vibe the hotel got going for it. And all the decor down to the soft furnishings and even the laundry basket in en pointe with the industrial theme.

The hotel lounge area pictured above is a definite instagram worthy backdrop. In fact, every time we pass by, even on our second stay there, JH still insists to “take photo! take photo!”

Baby friendliness

Both times we stayed at the Rosa hotel, their baby cots are in good condition, clean and promptly available. We also like that the rooms are large enough that we can comfortably put the cot and not have to tiptoe around him.

Shelves are also at a good height to evade little toddler hands (a definite plus point in my book!)

There is also large family suites available.

Summary

Definitely recommended for young couples and groups of friends who enjoy finding Instagram-worthy spots at every corner. Families with young children will love the hotel too, although driving is recommended.
