Restoran Lois Bakuteh | New Location 2019!


Lois Bakuteh has been one of our must go to places every time we travel to Melaka.

This new place also has easy parking space.
We also visit when we are driving back to Singapore because it is outside of Melaka city centre and on the way to the main expressway. 

Hence, Lois Bakuteh is usually our last lunch before we leave Melaka.

The picture below is for a 2 people portion and it comes with beef brisket, beef balls and sliced beef.
They also serve ginger rice which is pretty special.
We usually order "xiao la - little spicy" so that our boy can share in the meat. Unless you like mixed beef parts (which include tongue, intestine etc), it's ok to order just beef meat portions. Just ask the friendly owner =)
All in a peppery clay pot soup with loads of taw kee! =P

Look at this! Just RM30 only a hot bowl of mixed beef meat soup. We can't wait to finish it!


They still serve some MA LA steamboat also. We haven't tried it yet though.
Place is very child friendly and quiet.

The Kidzoona playground can be found on level 2 of Mahkota Parade which is just beside Hatten Hotel. Absolute visit for us and the little one has been there already like 10 times or something? haha. It’s also unlimited entry for a day whohoo =) THE BEST part of this indoor playground is that it’s located in a mall! I'd go shopping while hubby plays with him there. The moment we reach the entrance, mummy will go off on a bout of shopping herself, usually at Mr DIY (sadly, this has closed the last time we went. but there’s always the one opposite at Dahlaran Palawan). The other reason why we frequent it is that this indoor playground  will be virtually empty in the mornings at 10am. BTW, this kidzoona outlet closes at 10pm. Why we rate Aunty Fatso Restaurant highly! | Bubble tea bonus tip!

Aunty Fatso Restaurant is now amongst our TOP recommendations for dinner in Melaka! However, you will need a car to get here as most good hotels are NOT near this Jalan KLJ area. It must be said that there are now quite a few eateries here. Hence, you would also find the delightful cheese beehoon here also. Apparently (unconfirmed), its a sister of  Restaurant Tong Sheng? Wow! We ordered fried squid and egg in addition to the cheese beehoon.  Both were also fantastic! Value for money: 5/5 Taste: 5/5 Comfort and service 4/5 We've came and its relatively fast and we've ever came before where there was some queue Nowadays we eat at Aunty Fatso Restaurant more than at Tong Sheng Restaurant. Best Taiwanese Noodle in Melaka? Hing Loong Taiwanese Noodles 兴隆台湾麵馆, little known noodle heaven!

This has always been on our must try list but we didn’t manage to dine there due to the crazy crowds and difficult parking. Finally, one day we decided for me to hop off the car to da bao the beef noodles. While waiting for my order, I was tempted by waves and waves of delicious aroma from the hundreds of deep fried pork chop being freshly cooked in front of me. And it’s only RM4!!  Of course I succumbed to temptation! It’s really delicious too! When Hubby found out the price, he lamented, ” What?! Why didn’t you buy 10?!” The dry beef noodles too, even though we only managed to eat it after 1hr was still good. The herbs and spices reminds me of the beef noodles that we had in Taiwan. Not the beef ball noodle with the thick gravy kind that we get locally. Since then, we’ve made it a point to try to dine here every trip.
